Middle Carson River Monitoring Project
In fall/winter 2014 and winter 2015 DVCD crew and staff worked to assess, monitor and catalog all past and current information regarding all completed river projects. The Nevada Division of Environmental Protection funded the project so the district could determine if projects were functioning properly and as designed. RO Anderson also assisted the district by surveying sites. Douglas GIS has accumulated all data and created an interactive map for the district.

River Projects
Channel Clearing, Snagging & Maintenance
During December 2015, DVCD crews used hand tools to remove woody debris. This allows the river to flow smoothly. Funds for the crew to do this much needed work was provided by the Carson Truckee Water Conservancy District.
